Experience the Sydney Fringe Festival this September

The largest independent arts festival in NSW will arrive on Sunday 1 September 2019 and feature throughout the month.

New to this year’s 400 event program is the event expanding its horizons to the outer suburbs of Sydney. Inner Sydney will will also feature new events at the Paddington Hub, featuring pop-up performances at Cobbstar Studios and underneath Oxford Street’s Verona Cinema, and an expansion of the dance hub to Australian Actors Centre in Leichhardt. The Rocks located in Circular Key will also play host every Friday – Sunday to new shows, performances, electric market stalls and other hidden surprises.

Head to Centennial Park for the Fever-Tree Gin & Tonic Festival

One of Sydney’s most popular parklands will host an unforgettable experience celebrating the arrival of spring and all things Gin and Tonic.

Here, you’ll have the chance to sample over 30 local and international distillers showcasing their favourite drop — South Australia’s award-winning Never Never Distilling Co to Melbourne’s Four Pillars and international favourite Hendricks Gin.

The event will feature between Friday 27 – Sunday 29 September 2019. The festival will also offer a ‘Family Fun Zone’ for big and small kids, a gourmet hamper station, food trucks, gelato, tea and coffee.

Public transport is available from Arden Street to Bondi Junction and onto Centennial Park. Alternatively the event is a short 15 minute uber from the hotel.




The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo marches into Sydney in October

Between 17 – 19 October 2019, ANZ Stadium in Sydney’s west will host the captivating Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This will be brought to life set against the backdrop of a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle.

The display will include up to 320 Pipes and Drums, 100 Highland Dancers, 13 Military Bands with 865 Military Performers and 40 Scottish Fiddles.

This year’s Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will be the 69th in the event’s history. In 2010 the event officially became known as The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo after The Queen awarded it the Royal Title to mark 60 years of the Tattoo.

Visit Royal Randwick for Melbourne Cup Day

Celebrate ‘The Race That Stops A Nation’ at the Royal Randwick Racecourse this Tuesday 6th November 2019. One of the biggest days in the spring calendar, the day features a vibrant social scene with award winning hospitality for you, your colleagues and friends. Watch the action from Flemington on the screens around the course whilst enjoying a nine-race fixture live at Royal Randwick.

Games to the event open at 10:30am with the first race commencing at 11:50am. The last race will be featured at approximately 5:40pm with tickets starting at $32 for concession holders and $37 per adult.

Royal Randwick is a short 10 minute trip from the hotel.
